Downtown Binghamton Morning Crash

Traffic was detoured around a two-vehicle crash early August 6 in downtown Binghamton.  The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Court and State Streets.

No injuries were reported.  Police had the intersection cleared and the vehicles removed within an hour after the mishap.

Witnesses said it appeared one of the vehicles ran a red light with one of those involved pointed south on State Street and the other had been traveling east on Court Street.

There was no word from authorities into whether either driver was ticketed.
