Montrose Man Dies Following Crash in Bridgewater

A Susquehanna County man is dead following a crash in Bridgewater Township on November 4th.

Pennsylvania State Police say 69- year-old, Albert Hewitt of Montrose was driving on North Road just north of Bridge Road at around 3:30 p.m. when he apparently failed to negotiate a right curve and hit a tree. The GMC Sonoma he was driving rolled over onto its roof.

Hewitt was flown to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre where he later died on November 5th.

Officials say they determined Hewitt may have had a medical issue and was driving under the influence.
