Applications are being accepted for local youth programs to share $190,000 in New York State aid.

The Broome County Youth Bureau is looking for proposals from qualified non-profit organizations and municipalities interested in establishing or expanding programs for youth, from birth through 21 years of age, in the community.

The programs should address the New York State Touchstones that have measurable outcomes and address areas of need.

The State is no longer setting aside Youth Development Funds specifically for municipalities.  Local governments wanting to be considered for funding must respond to the request for proposals.

Typical grants range from $100 to $20,000.

Applications are due by 4 p.m. September 14th.  Information can be found at www.gobroomecounty.com/parks.
