Some Broome County mothers say they shouldn’t have to cover up when breast feeding their children in public.

Several moms and their children gathered in Vestal December 28 claiming discrimination at local Walmart stores.

The women said they had been asked to cover up, go into a bathroom or leave the store entirely.

They said they should not have to hide feeding their kids.

The demonstrators also said they were defending the New York State Public Breast Feeding Law that says a mother can breast feed her baby in any public or private location where she is otherwise authorized to be.
