New York State Police say they found a mobile methamphetamine manufacturing operation when they pulled over a car on Nanticoke Road in the Town of Nanticoke at 3:55 p.m. June 27.

28 year old Kurtice Banks of Newark Valley is charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and several traffic counts.  He had already been convicted of meth manufacturing in 2015.

Troopers say, when they puled Banks over, they found he was driving with a suspended license and did not have a required ignition interlock device.  After discovering an active "one pot" meth lab in the vehicle, they secured the scene and called in the State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (CCSERT).

Investigators seized three ounces of methamphetamine oil, three grams of powdered meth and the 2005 Hyundai Elantra.

Banks was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
