Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say they found a mobile methamphetamine lab during a traffic stop in Cortlandville.

Authorities say they pulled 24 year old Casey Chorley of Cortland over on Starr Road at 1:13 a.m. March 15 for an obstructed view when the officer saw several items used for meth manufacture as well as what appeared to be an active ‘One Pot’ meth lab.

Officials say as a result of the discovery of the mobile meth lab, the new York State Police and a hazardous materials clean up company were called in to assist.

Chorley was charged with vehicle and traffic violations for driving without a license and obstructed view as well as felony manufacturing methamphetamine and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was sent to the Cortland County Jail on $25,000 bail.

The investigation is continuing and officials say more charges are expected.
