The Utica Police are asking for anyone with information about a nine month old baby that's been missing for, apparently, close to two and a half weeks to contact them.

Officials say on May 29th Levon Wameling supposedly had been left on the front porch of his home on Jay Street while his father, 27 year old Javon Wameling, went around to the back door to get inside. When the father returned to the front porch, he said the baby was gone.

The child was not reported missing until June 11 after family members questioned the father on the whereabouts of the boy.

This week, the mother appealed to the media for help in finding the baby.

The father has been named a person of interest in the case.

Officials with law enforcement agencies in the Southern Tier say they had not been made aware of the case and no AMBER Alerts had been issued to their knowledge.

The Utica Police are asking anyone with information to contact their office at (607) 735-3301 or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THELOST (1-800-843-5678).
