Missing Kirkwood Woman is Found Dead

Authorities say the body of a Kirkwood woman, who had been reported missing December 21sthas been found, not far from her home.

The body of 88 year old Helen Oltz was found in a wooded area of Route 11 in Hallstead on December 24.

New York State Police had issued a Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert for Oltz after she was last seen her Victoria Drive home on the afternoon of December 20th.

Authorities said Oltz had suffered from Dementia and hearing loss.

The cause of the woman’s death is under investigation.
