A man wanted in Johnson City for failing to register a change of address with the Sex Offender Registry is in custody.

Village Police Detectives, acting on a tip resulting from news coverage of the warrant for Daniel Bishop, located the man June 13 walking on the West Side of Binghamton in the area of Crestmont Road.

Police say Bishop was taken into custody without incident and charged with failure to comply with the New York State Sex Offender Registration Act, second offense.

Bishop is a convicted level one sex offender.  Level one is considered low risk for re-offense but still required to file with the Sex Offender Registry, update any change of address and provide an updated photo every three years.
