I got so many compliments on the tray made out of candy, I thought I would experiment and see if my idea for making a three-dimensional bowl would work. As you can see, it did.

I placed the candies in a round, deep-dish pizza pan lined with parchment paper and baked just the same as the previous recipe. I allowed the melted candy disk to cool for a few seconds until it could be handled.  I removed the candy from the pan by lifting the parchment paper.  A quick move flipped the warm candy over, centered, on an upside down mixing blow and I carefully pressed the candy down along the sides of the bowl and pressed the top to make sure it was flattened so it wouldn't tip over. Before the candy totally cools,  carefully remove the parchment paper since some of it will be in the folds of the sides of the bowl.

Big hit!

Now that Christmas is over, I'm wondering if this will work with other candy like Jolly Ranchers.

If anyone tries this with other candy, let us know.
