The National Weather Service is advising Binghamton-area residents that some minor flooding may occur in the next few days.

Forecasters say that rainfall, combined with the elevated river levels, will cause rivers and streams to continue rising.

Minor flooding is expected April 10 and into the weekend.

Current predictions suggest minor flooding will occur along the Susquehanna River at Vestal and Conklin.

Although forecasters posted a "hazardous weather outlook" early April 8, no watches or warnings have been issued.

Showers remain in the Binghamton forecast through Thursday night. Showers and thunderstorms are possible April 10.

The forecast then calls for three dry days starting on April 11.
