Binghamton Bearcats standout freshman Jordan Reed has been named to the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major All-American team.  21 players from around the nation were honored by the website.  Players were eligible from 23 Mid-Major conferences in the United States.

This is the third notable honor for Reed since the season ended.  Reed was named as the America-East Rookie of the Year by both College Hoops Daily and College Sports Madness.  Reed became only the second freshman in the history of America East to pace the conference in rebounding and came within three points of leading the conference in scoring as well.  He is the only freshman in league history to finish in the top-two in each category.

Reed established new Binghamton University school records for rebounds in a game with 18 versus St. Peter's and total rebounds in a season with 266.  He also notched 13 double-doubles which is a new BU record and tops among guards in the country.
