Mets and deGrom in Game 3

Jacob deGrom has been superb in both the regular season and the playoffs for the New York Mets.  He gets the ball in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series tonight in Chicago against the Cubs.  Scheduled start time tonight is 8:07 PM.  deGrom faces Kyle Hendricks on the mound for the Cubs.  The Mets hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-seven series.

deGrom is 2-0 in the post-season with a sizzling 1.38 Earned Run Average.  He has 20 strikeouts in 13 innings pitched.  Hendricks has seen duty in one playoff game so far and did not figure in the decision.  He has a 5.79 ERA in 4.2 innings pitched.

Daniel Murphy has powered the Mets' offense.  Murphy is batting .357, has driven in eight runs and has ripped five home runs.  Games four and if needed game five are also set for Wrigley Field.
