Two people face drug-related charges after police executed a search warrant at a Chenango County home.

Authorities say 36-year-old Matthew Mazepa and 21-year-old Taylor Quackenbush were arrested as a result of the raid at 163 Sherman Hill Road in the Town of Afton.

According to New York State Police, the warrant was executed Tuesday morning.

Investigators say they confiscated crystal methamphetamine, marijuana and $873 in cash. They also seized two cellular phone, a digital scale and drug packaging material, along with a counterfeit $20 bill.

Police say Mazepa and Quackenbush were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Mazepa also was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Mazepa was arraigned in Afton town court and sent to Chenango County Jail without bail. Quackenbush was issued appearance tickets for the town court and released.
