Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say when they went to a mobile home on Kingsley Avenue in the Town of Cortlandville to make an arrest at 10:32 p.m. April 12, they detected a strong smell of chemicals.

20 year old Amber Reynolds consented to a search of her home and authorities say they found an active methamphetamine manufacturing operation.

The New York State Police narcotics response team was called in to remove the toxic chemicals and contaminated materials used in the meth lab.

The occupants of the home were evacuated due to the chemical fumes and smoke inside.

Reynolds, 19 year old Thomas Joseph and 29 year old Amanda Maphis are all charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and unlawful disposal of meth lab material.

All three were sent to the Cortland County Jail.
