Delaware County Sheriff’s officials say they expect to raid more methamphetamine manufacturing operations following their first meth bust in Walton in several years on January 26.

Authorities raided a home at 116 East Street and found a one-pot style meth lab inside.  The Sheriff’s office, New York State Police Special Operations Response Team, New York State Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team, Walton Police and Delaware Emergency Services, including Walton Fire, responded to the scene.

Seven adults and three children were removed from the vicinity of an actively cooking one-pot meth lab.

Arrested were: 35 year old James Nash, 31 year old Amanda Biknell, 38 year old James Klinegardner Junior, 18 year old Brooklyn Alford and 36 year old Tammy Lewis.. all of Walton and 29 year old Johnny Uhl and 22 year old Emily Uhl .. both of Swan Lake, New York.

All were preliminarily charged with felony unlawful manufacture of meth.

Nash is also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance for having Suboxone while Johhny Uhl was charged with criminal possession of cocaine and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Additional charges were filed later in the day January 27 in Walton Village Court.

All were sent to the Delaware County Jail on $150,000 bail

The children had been immediately evaluated for potential contamination by the toxic chemicals used during the manufacture of methamphetamine at the home.  Child Protective Services then placed the young children into emergency foster care.
