Officials with the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force say they responded to a methamphetamine manufacturing operation when a Broome County Sheriff’s Highway Patrol Deputy investigated a call May 21 about someone stealing electricity from a home on Zeggert Road in Endicott.

The Deputy found an extension cord stretching from the Zeggert Roadhome to a house behind it on May Street and saw a meth lab through an open window.

No one was found in the house and authorities were able to render the site safe for the night.

The New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Unit was called in to remove the volatile materials in the home.

In addition to meth oil, investigators found packaged heroin, prescription pills and an indoor marijuana growing operation.

53 year old Peter Drossos and 48 year old Michele Drossos are charged with felony manufacturing methamphetamine as well as misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material, possession of a controlled substance, unlicensed growing of marijuana and violation of the New York State Public Health Law.

Both May Street residents were sent to the Broome County Jail.
