The Cortland County Sheriff's Department conducted a traffic stop yesterday at about 1:20 PM on Route 11 in the Village of Marathon after being dispatched to the area to investigate possible drug use or drug activity in a motor vehicle.  Officers identified the operator of the vehicle as Rebecca Quail, age 32 of Marathon.

Upon further investigation officers responded to 857 Jennings Road in the Town of Marathon where they found two men in possession of components used in the unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine.  46 year-old Michael T. Rogers of 1163 Gallagher Road., Cortland was arrested and charged with felony Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetimine in the third degree and a misdemeanor charge of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree. 19 year-old Leslie J. Radcliffe of 19 Elm Street, Apartment 4 in Cortland was charged with Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the third degree and misdemeanor Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.

Both men were arraigned in the Town of Marathon Court.  Rogers is held on no bail while Radcliffe is being held on $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.  Both are due back in Marathon Court January 14 at 6:30 PM.  Quail was charged with a misdemeanor count of Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument.  She was released on an appearance ticket and due back in Marathon Court on February 4 at 6:30 PM.
