The spate of metal thefts in the Twin Tiers continues with reports in Chenango County, New York and Tioga County, Pennsylvania over the past several days.

In New York, Tamara Shoals and Quinn Brown of North Norwich are charged with petit larceny, conspiracy, trespass and endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly bringing their three year old child with them while they loaded scrap metal into their vehicle at Chenango County Asphalt on County Road 32 in the Town of Norwich.

Sheriff’s officials say the manager of the business noticed the vehicle on the property and confronted Sholes and Brown.

The two were ordered to appear in Town of Norwich Court at a later date.

In Pennsylvania, State Police are looking for a suspect who broke into a home on East Main Street in Westfield Township near Mansfield and stole copper pipes, hot water base board heating coils, a Kenmore washing machine and dryer, a Kenmore stainless gas range, an Arians snow blower, a Yard Man push mower, a Wheel Horse mower and a single bottom plow.

The value of the items and damage to the property is being put at between 10 and 15 thousand dollars.
