Two Broome County men are accused of stocking up on lots of drills from a local home improvement store.  The problem is, they didn’t pay for the items according to Broome County Sheriff’s officials.

Deputies say 29 year old Jordan Bartow of Vestal and 37 year old Jason Serkz of the Town of Maine are accused of taking two large cases of drills from the Home Depot in Westover on December 10 before fleeing.

When security personnel and a bystander tried to stop Bartow, he hit a man with the cases and knocked him to the ground then sped off.

Endicott Police found his vehicle a short time later but not Bartow.  Serkz was still in the vehicle.

Police say Bartow was loose for several days but eventually taken into custody at a home on Loder Avenue in the Village of Endicott.

Bartow is charged with felony robbery, criminal possession of a controlled substance and was wanted on a warrant for endangering the welfare of a child.

Serkz was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.
