Authorities say the theft of items from the store on Gannett Drive occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Investigators say 26-year-old Daniel Santacroce and 25-year-old Chase Tiffany of Binghamton were charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.

According to Johnson City police, the night manager reported the incident. He told officers he had seen two men pushing shopping carts loaded with merchandise out of the store without paying for the goods.

The manager said he observed the men push the carts a short distance into the city of Binghamton and transfer the items into a sport utility vehicle.

Binghamton police pulled over the suspect vehicle moments later on Clinton Street in the First Ward.

Detectives say Santacroce and Tiffany were in the SUV, along with the stolen merchandise.

Both men were ordered to appear in Johnson City village court on April 12.
