Broome County and the surrounding area joined communities all over our country today with ceremonies, services and parades in commemoration of Memorial Day.  Many turned out for parades including the annual parade this afternoon through downtown Binghamton.

Binghamton's parade began at 2:00 PM and went from American Legion Post 80 at 76 Main Street to the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial Arena where a 21-gun salute was held and TAPS played in honor of the men and women who gave their lives serving and protecting our country. Ceremonies were held in front of the All Wars Memorial.
