The 8th Annual Dick's Sporting Goods Open was a big hit from all fronts.  Dry weather blessed all three days of the tournament.  A huge crowd turned out for Friday's opening round and the Zac Brown Band concert that evening.  Hinman, Howard and Kattell enabled thousands to attend Saturday's round free of charge.  And, yesterday, the Wendy's Walk for Kids drew people of all ages to participate.  Over 900 walkers took part.

How do you top the three rounds of golf played in this year's Dick's Open ?  The record-setting round of 59 fired by Kevin Sutherland on Saturday and the fight to the finish yesterday eventually won by World Golf Hall of Famer Bernhard Langer.

Add to that the efforts of hundreds of volunteers to pull it all together...including the ones who worked after the concert Friday night into Saturday morning to make sure the course was perfect for the second round.  Congratulations to Tournament Director John Karedes and his staff for an another exceptional weekend.
