What does someone who was just named the America East Softball Player of the Week do in their next games following that honor ? How about three home runs, five RBI's and a 4-6 showing at the plate ?  That's what Binghamton University's Griffin McIver did yesterday (Wednesday) to lead her Bearcats to a doubleheader sweep at the University at Buffalo.  The Bearcats topped the Bulls by scores of 12-4 and 11-8 in a pair of non-conference games.

McIver earned her second Player of the Week honors this season after leading BU to a 5-0 record last week.  She hit .562 with two home runs and eight runs batted in. On the seasaon McIver is batting .391 with 12 home runs and 35 RBI's.

A graduate of Union-Endicott High School, Griffin leads Binghamton into a key three-game America East Conference series in Albany this weekend.  The Bearcats trail the conference-leading Great Danes heading into the weekend.  Albany is 9-1 while the second-place Bearcats are 10-2 in America East play.
