Ceremonies were held today to swear in Rich David as Mayor of the City of Binghamton and Greg Deemie as Mayor in the Village of Johnson City.  Deemie had been serving since April, 2012 when former mayor Dennis Hannon resigned. Deemie defeated Barrett Esworthy in November to be able to serve his first full-term.  David is set for his first term as mayor following Matthew Ryan who was unable to run again after serving two full terms.  He defeated Teri Rennia in the Fall election.

Along with Deemie trustees Bruce King and Luke Slota were sworn into office this morning.  Deemie had won a special election to finish Hannon's unexpired term.  David had been a deputy mayor during Richard Bucci's time as mayor in Binghamton.
