Matt Oberste was the brightest shining star last night as his Eastern Division All-Stars topped the Western Division 10-2 in the 2016 Eastern League All-Star Game played at Canal Park in Akron, Ohio.  Oberste saw duty at first and third base and went 4-5 at the plate.  He ripped a double and drove in four runs.  For his efforts Oberste was named the game's "Top Star".

Two Binghamton Mets' pitchers saw duty for the Eastern Division as well.  Tyler Pill pitched one inning and gave up a home run in relief.  Logan Taylor also came out of the bullpen and notched a pair of strikeouts in one inning pitched.

The game was played in front of over 8,000 fans who jammed Canal Park.  Binghamton resumes its Eastern League regular season schedule tonight (Thursday) at 6:35 (air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF) as the Hartford Yard Goats visit NYSEG Stadium.
