Mather Street Body is Identified

Binghamton Police Detectives are releasing the name of the man whose body was found in a Mather Street apartment September 8.

Neighbors reported a foul smell coming from the unit at 11 Mather Street at about 9:45 a.m. and police found the body of Michael Thomas of New York City inside.

Authorities say the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death are continuing.

Police have labeled the death “suspicious.”
