A couple new residents are making their home at Binghamton's Ross Park Zoo.

The zoo on Morgan Road on the South Side has welcomed two 6 year old Geoffroy’s Marmosets, Estella and Hoga, for a Species Survival Plan breeding program.

The little primates are native to the forests of southwestern Brazil and will eat fruit, insects, flowers, frogs, spiders and lizards.

Officials say the breed normally gives birth to twins but larger litters are not uncommon.

The fathers actually carry the little ones exclusively for the first week then all the family members chip in to help.

For more information, contact the zoo at (607) 724-5461 or at www.rossparkzoo.com.
