The New York State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Spill team are investigating the crash of a tanker truck on Caldwell Hill Road in Lisle that dumped 4,000 gallons of liquid manure.

43 year old Charles Clute was driving north when the tractor trailer drifted onto the soft shoulder and overturned in the east ditch at 6:11 p.m. April 7, spilling the load into the ditch, across the road and onto private property.

Law enforcement and clean-up crews were on the scene for several hours.
