Manslaughter Charged in Candor Death *Updated*

A Candor man is charged with manslaughter following the death of another man at a Tioga County bar.

Sheriff’s officials say 39 year old Ronald Warner Junior is accused of recklessly causing the death of 56 year old Daryl Dayhart of Brooktondale in Tompkins County during an incident at Punk’s Place Bar on Mill Street in Candor at 10:20 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Deputies have not said what led up to the death but the investigation is continuing.

An autopsy done at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton concluded Dayhart died as a result of blunt head trauma due to physical assault.

Warner was sent to the Tioga County Jail on $125,000 bail.
