Man Pleads Guilty to Rape in Johnson City Incident

A 39-year-old man has pleaded guilty to first-degree rape in connection with a reported incident in the village of Johnson City.

Prosecutors say Adam Crampton entered the plea in Broome County Court on Tuesday morning.

According to the plea, Crampton acknowledged having sexual intercourse with someone by forcible compulsion in Johnson City.

Under a plea deal, Crampton is expected to be sentenced to 15 years in prison and 15 years parole.

Sentencing was scheduled for October 23.
