A report is expected this week by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration on an incident in which a man was killed after being hit by a forklift at a business in the Town of Vestal.The accident happened in the loading area of the pipe yard at National Pipe and Plastics off Vestal Road at round 4:30 p.m. March 22nd.

The man reportedly stepped out between the truck he had been driving and the forklift that was backing up to load pipes onto the trailer.

Company officials told The Binghamton Press and Sun Bulletin that the man who was killed was not employed by National Pipe.

His name has not been released.
