Man Indicted In Johnson City Bar Shooting

A Massachusetts man has been indicted for attempted murder in connection with a shooting outside a Johnson City bar.

30-year-old Francisco Maysonet of Turner Falls was arrested shortly after a man was repeatedly shot near the Oasis Bar on Harry L. Drive. The attack occurred on January 10.

The man who was injured in the attack had been hospitalized in critical condition at Wilson Medical Center.

In addition to second-degree attempted murder, the indictment charged Maysonet with assault and criminal use of a firearm. He also was indicted on three weapon possession counts.

The gun believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered on Pearl Avenue the day after the incident.
