Man Dies After Being Hit by a Car in Endicott

An Endicott man is dead after being hit by a car while crossing North Nanticoke Avenue.

Endicott Police say 84 year old Frederick Mott died at the hospital of severe head injuries suffered in the collision.

Police were called to the 200 block of North Nanticoke Avenue at around 7:58 October 8.

Authorities say the Owego man who was driving the car told them he didn't see Mott until it was too late.

The investigation is continuing but police say they do not expect to charge the driver.
