Man Charged With Lewdness In Nichols Incident

A Bradford County man has been accused of trying to lure a 14-year-old girl into his vehicle and then exposing himself to her as she walked to a school bus stop in the village of Nichols.

Authorities say 32-year-old Ruben Bailey of Ulster was charged with stalking and public lewdness. Bailey also faces a count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Investigators say the incident was said to have happened around 7:20 Thursday morning. Police found Bailey late Thursday night driving on Front Street in the village of Owego.

Bailey was arraigned in Nichols town court and sent to Tioga County Jail on $10,000 bail
