An arrest has been made in connection with a fire at a town of Norwich storage facility that destroyed Toys for Tots donations and thousands of dollars worth of other items.

Authorities say 25-year-old Michael Golotty has been charged with felony arson and burglary.

Golotty also faces 40 felony counts of criminal mischief.

According to New York State Police, Golotty is believed to be responsible for the November 29 fire at a commercial storage center on County Route 32.

Golotty was arraigned in Norwich town court. He was sent to Chenango County Jail on $50,000 bail.

The storage facility had 40 units. Some of the toys that had been donated for a holiday assistance program in Chenango County were destroyed by the blaze.
