Man Charged In Town of Chenango Sexual Abuse Case

A 25-year-old man has been charged with felony sexual abuse in connection with an incident that reportedly occurred in a Broome County motel.

Authorities say Matthew Kimball of Utica was arrested by state police on Monday.

Investigators say Kimball and the other person involved in the case are currently enrolled at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica.

The incident is said to have happened March 11 at the Motel 6 at 1012 Upper Front Street in the Town of Chenango.

Kimball was arraigned in town court and released on his own recognizance.

Local state police investigators were assisted by the agency's Campus Sexual Assault Victims Unit and the Mohawk Valley Community College Department of Public Safety.
