Man Accused Of Selling Marijuana To Tioga Student

A Tioga County man was sent to jail after state police accused him of selling marijuana to a high school student.

Authorities say 22-year-old Cole Duffek of Newark Valley was charged with felony criminal sale of marijuana. Investigators say he allegedly sold the drug to someone under the age of 18.

Duffek was arrested at his home this morning by investigators with the Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and troopers based in Owego.

According to state police, Tioga Central High School administrators requested the investigation. The alleged marijuana sale did not occur on school grounds.

Duffek was arraigned in Nichols town court. He was sent to Tioga County Jail on $10,000 bail.
