Authorities say 24-year-old Robert Predmore of Dryden was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. He also was charged with two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, as well as several traffic violations.

According to state police, Predmore was arrested on April 30 following the incident on Speed Hill Road in the Town of Caroline.

Investigators say Predmore intentionally drove a 1998 Jeep Cherokee into another moving vehicle and drove away.

A Tompkins County sheriff's deputy found Predmore driving on McClintock Road. Police say he ran away but ultimately was located and taken into custody.

Predmore was arraigned in Caroline town court and sent to Tompkins County Jail on $5,000 bail.
