Major Drug Sweep in Delaware County

Over a dozen people are facing drug charges following a lengthy investigation conducted by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials say a major drug sweep was conducted March 20 as part of five separate investigations.  A total of 14 people were arrested on felony drug charges involving the selling of heroin, cocaine and Suboxone.

32 year old Landon Cullipher of Oneonta and 21 year old William Effner of Delhi are each accused of selling heroin in the Town of Davenport on three occasions.

SUNY Delhi students, 20 year old Shawn Prakash of Hicksville and 22 year old Joshua Rutt of Port Jervis are accused of selling cocaine in Delhi and on the SUNY campus.

Former Treadwell resident, 28 year old Johnathan Hawley of Oneonta is accused of selling Suboxone.

All the suspects were sent to the Delaware County Jail without bail.
