Maine Women Top Bearcats

The Maine Black Bears proved too much for the Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team in Bangor, Maine Saturday (February 27).  Maine rolled to a 69-37 victory to close out the regular season for both teams.  The Black Bears finish 15-1 in America East and the Bearcats end up at 8-8.

Alyssa James led Binghamton with 18 points while Kim Albrecht finished with 11.  The Bearcats can finish as high as a number three seed for next weekend's America East tournament or as low as a number six seed.  There are three regular season games to go in America East on Sunday.  New Hampshire plays at UMBC, Hartford travels to Albany and Stony Brook visits Vermont.  Once those games conclude America East will release the final seeding order for the post-season tournament.

The quarterfinals and semifinals will be hosted by Binghamton and played at the Events Center.  Action will get underway at noon on Saturday and 2:00 PM on Sunday.
