The Maine-Endwell Spartans finished their football regular season undefeated as they crushed visiting Oneonta 56-0 Saturday at Spartans Stadium in Endwell.  M-E finished their regular season 8-0 and increased their consecutive game winning streak to 33...the longest of any high school football team in the nation.

The Spartans took the opening kickoff and marched down the field scoring in less than 90 seconds.  Darnell Woolfolk scored the first of his three first-half touchdowns with a 65-yard run on the Spartans' first possession.  He scored his second TD by hauling in an 18-yard pass from Kyle Gallagher and topped off his huge first quarter with an 80-yard run to make it 21-0 before the first quarter came to an end.

That lead would increase to 42-0 at half-time.  The Spartans tacked on two more scores while giving many of their back-up players ample playing time in the second half and won with ease 56-0.

Maine-Endwell 's 33 game winning streak includes two New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championships.  The first came at the Class 'A' level while last year's was in Class 'B' completion.

The Spartans will begin their post-season with a chance to head back to the Carrier Dome in Syracuse for another title.  First though they must get through Section 4 Class 'B' semi-final and final round foes.  M-E will host Owego this Saturday at 1:30 in the semi-final round.  The Spartans dismantled Owego in the regular season 57-14.
