The Maine-Endwell Spartans won their 58th consecutive game with a 37-7 victory over rival Union-Endicott at Spartan Stadium Saturday afternoon.  The win on Homecoming Weekend at M-E upped the Spartans record this season to 7-0.  The Tigers fall to 1-6.

Following a scoreless first quarter Maine-Endwell scored the first points of the day when quarterback Kyle Balmer tossed a 27-yard touchdown pass to his ace receiver Michael Palmer to break the deadlock.  Palmer returned a Tiger punt 60 yards to put the Spartans up by a pair of TD's.  Balmer took off on a quarterback keeper from 46 yards out to make it a 21-0 score at the end of the first half.  Alec Greene converted all three PAT's for M-E.

In the second half the Spartans got touchdowns from Micah Miller, Scott Clark and Andrew Grassi to make the final 37-7 in favor of Maine-Endwell.  It was a preview of Section 4's first round of the playoffs.  M-E will host the Tigers in two weeks in the Class "A" semi-final round.
