Main St., Binghamton Fire Under Investigation

The cause of a fire that heavily damaged a home on Main Street in Downtown Binghamton is still under investigation.

Seven fire units responded at 11:50 p.m. April 3 to the scene as a reported kitchen fire spread to engulf three sides of the home.

The occupants are being assisted by the Southern Tier Chapter of the America Red Cross.

There were no injuries.

Firefighters were on the scene for three and a half hours.
