Magic City Music Hall Closes Again

Promoters say business has just not been brisk enough to keep a local music venue open.

Magic City Productions co-owner Stu Green has confirmed that the new location of Magic City Music Hall that opened about a year ago in the Town of Chenango is closed.

The venue had hosted various acts from a plaza on Harry L. Drive in Johnson City for a number of years before closing and opening seven years later on Upper Front Street in October 2015.

The last concert, Rusted Root, was staged Saturday, October 29 at the Northgate Plaza.

Ticket-holders have been filing in to the box office to get refunds for previously scheduled shows.
