Low Speed Chase in Bradford County

A Pennsylvania teenager is accused of leading authorities on a slow-speed pursuit in Bradford County.

Pennsylvania State Police say the Towanda Borough Police reported seeing 19 year old Kegan Valenzuela of Monroeton committing several traffic violations 12:10-12:25 a.m. April 19 and tried to pull him over on Main Street in Franklin Township.

Valenzuela reportedly eluded a police roadblock and forced an officer to swerve off Route 220.

State Police became involved with the pursuit as it continued south on State Route 220 to Route 414.

The chase finally stopped after the teen rammed into the back of a state police vehicle, causing over three thousand dollars in damage.

Authorities say the pursuit reached speeds of only 25 to 40 miles per hour.

There were no injuries.

Valenzuela is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, fleeing a police officer, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while ability impaired by drugs, three counts of reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and a slew of traffic violations.

He was sent to the Bradford County Jail on $75,000 bail.
