Little Southern Tier Storm Damage

Little or no damage is being reported in the Greater Binghamton area following strong thunderstorms July 14.

Chenango County Emergency Services Dispatchers reported some trees down but no serious problems while Broome and Tioga Counties had no reports of issues.

Early July 15, the New York State Electric and Gas Outage Central website listed few power issues in the NYSEG service area.

The story is different to the west and north.

National Weather Service crews are expected to head to northern Steuben County to determine if a tornado had formed and some communities had roads totally washed out.
