Johnson City Mayor Greg Deemie and challenger Andrew Holbert discussed a wide array of topics during a recent debate on WNBF Radio.

The live broadcast took place in the Binghamton Now studio on Thursday, October 26.

The candidates outlined their ideas on how they would work to minimize tax rate increases in the next four years. They also talked about steps that could be taken to address criminal activity in the village.

Deemie, a Republican, is seeking another four-year term. He was appointed mayor by the village board in April 2012 after Mayor Dennnis Hannon resigned.

Holbert, a Democrat, is the vice chairman of the Johnson City planning board.
