Linda Cimino is the new women's basketball coach at Binghamton University.  Cimino comes to BU after eight seasons as head coach at Division II Caldwell College in New Jersey.  Cimino takes over for Nicole Scholl who did not have her contract renewed after this past season.

Cimino departs Caldwell College as the school's all-time leader with 128 wins.  This past season her team went 18-12 and received an ECAC tournament berth.  Over the past five seasons Cimino's teams won an average of 18 games per season.  Her teams played in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference and went to the ECAC tournament in 2008 and 2014.

Cimino was a scholarship player at Adelphi and ranks among the program's all - time leaders in free throw percentage and three-pointers.  She also holds the school record for most three-pointers made in a game with six.

The new BU coach recruited athletes who excelled on the basketball court and in the class room.  During her eight seasons at Caldwell her athletes averaged a 3.2 GPA with her student-athletes achieving a 3.4 GPA in 2012-13.
