Bernhard Langer returns to defend his 2014 Dick's Sporting Goods Open Championship at En Joie. He has been on fire in Champions Tour events in 2015.  Coming into this week's play he has one victory, four second-place finishes and 10 top-ten finishes in 14 events for $1.65 in earnings.  He finished in second place last week at the Boeing Classic.

Entering the Dick's Sporting Goods Open Langer is third in the Charles Schwab Cup rankings.  He has won 24 Champions Tour events in his career. He won his fourth Player of the Year award on the Champions Tour in 2014.  He won four other tournaments to go along with his Dick's Open championship.

Langer celebrated his 59th birthday August 27 and was greeted with a batch of birthday cupcakes courtesy of the staff at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open.  His daughter caddied for him last year.  Keeping it in the family he has his son as his caddy this weekend.
